Continuing the trend towards retail growth and recovery in Horsham, its first Polish food store has opened. It is called Paula, Eastern European Grocery Store, is located in the old Freeborn cycle shop in the outer part of the Bishopric (see below) and it opened today, 7th February 2015. The West Sussex Gazette has covered the story and here are a few highlights under the Horsham Photographer’s photo.
Polish born Paulina Szaruga and her sister Iwona Paszkiel-Chamera opened the shop and are retailing breads and pastries, cooked every day on site, together with a selection of specialised meats and Polish sweets and chocolate. The pair hope to expand the product range to include Romanian and Hungarian food.
Update: The store is located at 35 Freshwater Parade, Bishopric, not far from Wilkos, Argos and Shelley’s Fountain. Put RH12 1QD in your Sat Nav and use the on street parking for short stays.
