On September 13th 2014 the cycling Tour of Britain’s seventh stage passed through Horsham. The town turned out to support the event in large numbers. The intermediate sprint took place at the pedestrian crossing in Albion Way though it was not really contested. The west bound carriage way was closed as the race passed through and some spectators took to the galleries in Swan Walk Car Park to get a grandstand view.

The Horsham Photographer was placed about 200m before the sprint finish and here are the riders. The first two riders were in the breakaway, the rest are in order of their race number.

A band of drummers were providing percussion throughout the event, initially by the empty MacDonalds restaurant before moving the the junction of Albion Way and Springfield Road. In the Unitarian Church there was a decorated bike on show. Also included in the selection below are a few crowd shots, including the Swan Walk Car Park Gallery.

And finally a selection of support vehicles.
